07/06/2010 ~ Keys Energy Services’ (KEYS) customers will experience a 3.5-percent decrease in their July energy bills, as a result of decreased energy costs, if their usage remains the same as June.
The Power Cost Adjustment (PCA) charge for the month of July will be negative $7.80 per 1,000 kilowatt-hours* (kwh), compared to a negative $2.95 per 1,000 kwh in June. The PCA charge recovers the fluctuating cost of energy and will appear as a credit to customers since it is less than was originally forecast.
An average KEYS’ residential customer, consuming 1,000 kwh of electricity during the month of July will see an energy bill for approximately $132.15, down from $137.00 in June.
“We are pleased to pass along this reduction in energy costs,” said Lynne Tejeda, KEYS’ General Manager & CEO. She added that, “customers can further reduce their energy bill by reducing their consumption through conservation.”
